Anticipation
I have been preparing for this Saturday for almost two months. This Saturday is the first cross country race of the season. The butter flys are already coming back and the memories of past races are fluttering in my mind. All i can think about is running. I can't get running out of my mind. The anticipation is getting to me little by little. I have been visualizing how i am going to run the race and i feel like the team has a good chance at beating d.c. Also this is my jr year i'm finally an upper classman and i need to be a great exapmle for the underclassmen and do god my first race. The anticipation is also coming with prices i have been working hard this week doing work outs. I CAN NOT WAIT TILL THIS SATURDAY!!

The Spitting image of my grandfather.
My grandfather and i are very much alike. He is 5-9ish which is the same size as me. Just like him, i am rail thin. Just like my grandfather i am a very athletic person. I think i got my athleticism from him. I run like he ran. I am into the same sports as he is. During basketball season my grandfather and i get season tickets to kwc and attend as many games as we can. I have a natural tan like he does. the only thing different between us is that he has blue eyes and mine are brown. When he was younger and into his twenties he rode dirt bikes and of course by the age of 10 i was on a dirt bike myself. Many life lessons have been learned in his company.

Sports in the Life of a teenager.
Sports for most teenagers(including me) is very important. Well atleast for me. In the list of priority's my sport ranks third, underfamily/friends/god/ then school then sports. But honestly i think in some instances more then enough pressure is placed upon teens to do good and the punishments for if they dont are extremely harsh. I would like to see less pressure on student athletes and more on school work. i have noticed a trend in our school. Some student athletes who acheive alot on the field tend to achieve less in the class room. NOT SAYING EVERY ONE THAT PLAYS A SPORT DUMB. I'm just saying that more emphassis needs to be placed on school work then on a sport.

Music in the life of a teenager.
In the life of a teenager music playes a big role. The music teens listen to gives them an outlet to express thier feelings. Music also boots thier energy. An example of this is before cross country races i listen to my favorite songs to get me pumped up and ready to run. Also music puts teens in a lighter mood, if im in a bad mood i can listen to a song and it will lighten my mood. Music for me is a great outlet. I listen and use music everyday and it plays a big role in my life.
